How to use pine needles to grow flowers

1. Every year, a lot of pine needles will accumulate under the pine forest. You can use a large plastic bag to sweep all the pine needles home, prepare a plastic bucket, put a layer of garden soil at the bottom of the bucket, put a layer of pine needles on it, then put a layer of garden soil on it, then put another layer of pine needles, and then put a layer of soil on the top. Water to wet the soil, cover it with a lid and place it in a high temperature place.

2. Pine needle soil will ferment quickly under high temperature conditions. It can be decomposed in 3 months in summer and longer in winter, requiring 6 months. If you see that the pine needles are almost rotten and have turned into dark fine soil, it means that the fermentation is complete.

3. After the pine needles are fermented, they can be used as flower fertilizer. Before use, they need to be exposed to the sun for three days. During this period, the soil should be turned over frequently. It is best to disinfect it and then mix it with other substrates.

Precautions for growing flowers with pine needles

If you want to use pine needles to grow flowers, you cannot use them directly, otherwise it will cause root burn and affect the growth of flowers. When processing, you can put the collected pine needles in an insulated box, compact them slightly, then soak them in water, and after processing, move them to a well-lit place for exposure to the sun. It will take about three months to completely ferment.
