1. Time

The Yuyuantan Cherry Blossom Festival starts on March 19th and usually ends in late May. The first Cherry Blossom Festival was held in 1989 and has continued to this day. However, its flowering period is very short, with only about a week from the beginning of flowering to the withering of the flowers, and the flowering period of an entire tree is only half a month at most.

2. Best viewing time

There is also a best time to view cherry blossoms, which is around March 21st to 22nd. Not only are the cherry blossoms in full bloom, but the climate is also very suitable for travel. By the end of April, it had entered the late cherry blossom season, which lasted for about a month. Moreover, there are many varieties of cherry blossoms here, many of which have been introduced from all over the world. There are about 2,000 cherry trees for everyone to enjoy.

If you want to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms, it is best to avoid the peak viewing times, which are 9-11 noon and around 2-3 pm. These two time periods have the most people, so try to avoid these times.
