1. Grafting method1. Rootstock: Select disease-resistant, healthy trees with a diameter of 2-3 cm as rootstocks. 2. Scion: Select branches planted that year, with many buds, good leaf color, and no diseased leaves as scion. Cut off the leaves at the top and bottom of the branches, leaving only the leaves in the middle. This will slow down the loss of water from the branches. Place the scion in clean water for 2 days. 3. Scion processing: Cut the scion into sections every 5 cm. Each section must have a small bud, and each small bud must be 1 cm away from the top. The lower part of each section should be 4cm away from the small bud, and the lower branches should be cut back. 4. Grafting: Before grafting, water the rootstock, then cut a small sloped hole in the rootstock at an angle, and connect the cut scion to the small hole. Once completed, wrap it in a waterproof film to increase the chances of success. 2. PrecautionsWhen operating, be careful not to let the scissors damage the small buds that will grow later, and do not hurt yourself. |
