The maturity of watermelon is inextricably linked to its cultivation environment. Usually, the best time to grow watermelon seedlings is from mid-March to early April, because there are more spring rains and the temperature rises, which is suitable for seed growth. If the temperature is high and the soil is fertile, seedlings can be raised in February or March, and transplanting can be done more than a month before planting.

2. Seedling cultivation method

1. First, place the prepared seeds in the sun to dry, then soak the seeds in warm water for a few hours and then use gauze to remove the film on the seeds. Then, after sterilization, place it on a damp cloth sprayed with water in a warm place.

2. The soil used for growing watermelons should not only be loose, but also have good drainage and air permeability. It is best to have some sandy soil. You can add some farmyard manure to the soil mix, but it must be sterilized before use.
