1. Cultivation and namingIt was discovered, screened and bred in an orchard in Yantai. It was derived from the Yanfu No. 3 variety, but after cultivation, its quality has become even better. It passed the appraisal in October 2012, and was not approved by the state until December 2013, and was then officially named Yanfu No. 8. 2. Maturity TimeIt is a late-maturing variety. It takes about 185 days for the fruit to grow and mature. It matures relatively late, around late October. 3. Fruit characteristicsThis variety is oblong in shape, with a smooth exterior, evenly colored, rich colors, and a quick coloring time. It will reach 95% coloring on the eighth day after the bag is removed. It looks bright red, and has relatively few fruit spots on it. The flesh is light yellow in color, and tastes very delicate, crisp, sweet and juicy, with just the right sweetness without being greasy. 4. Other advantagesIt is of high quality, not easy to rot, can withstand long-term storage, is less likely to rot during transportation, fades slowly, and is not easy to age. When mature and sold outside the orchard, the price is higher than that of ordinary quality products, which can bring good economic benefits. |
