How to Grow Yam Beans

How to Grow Yam Beans

1. Planting steps

1. Planting time: usually around the Qingming Festival;

2. Soil selection: The soil should be the same from top to bottom, relatively fluffy and have good drainage performance;

3. Digging trenches and canals: When digging, the trench should be about 90 cm deep and 60 to 70 cm wide, and the planting interval between each plant should be about 23 cm. When preparing the ground, make it flat, dig a canal for drainage, and keep the field free of water so that planting can be carried out;

4. Greenhouse planting: The time is generally chosen in early January. During this period, the ground temperature is maintained at around 10 degrees, which is very suitable for its growth.

5. Seed treatment: The selected seeds can be exposed to sunlight for a period of time before planting, which can effectively kill bacteria and help them germinate quickly. In addition, the yam can also reproduce after being cut, but it is better to treat the wound.

6. Fertilizer management: After planting, the yam needs to be replenished with nutrients every once in a while. The effect is very obvious after the rapeseed cake left after being pressed and composted. However, you can also use poultry manure for watering.
