How to grow Huayuejin

How to grow Huayuejin

1. Breeding conditions

1. Soil: The soil should be loose and permeable, and should be neutral or slightly acidic. We can prepare it by mixing carbon slag and soil.

2. Light: It likes a growing environment with good sunlight and can receive gentle light all day long, but it needs shade from 11am to 3pm in summer. This will prevent it from getting burned by the scorching sun.

3. Watering: It will grow particularly fast if there is sufficient water and the environment is cool and ventilated. So you should water it in time, but don't water it again if there is water in the soil. When it is growing, wait until the soil is dry before watering it.

4. Fertilization: Apply fertilizer once a week during the growth period and do not apply fertilizer in winter.

5. Temperature: The growth temperature is 17-25℃, and in winter it should be maintained between 4-6℃.

2. Pest and disease control

1. Scale insects: They will cause poor growth of diseased plants, and in severe cases will cause the plants to wither and die.

Prevention and control methods: Spray with 800-1000 times diluted Supusha.

2. Root-knot nematodes: They will bite the plants, causing heart rot and leaf shedding.

Prevention and control methods: Fill pots with carbendazim. In serious cases, the heads of the plants can be removed and used for cuttings, and the mother plants infested with insects can be burned.
