When is pomelo harvested?

When is pomelo harvested?

1. Picking time

Pomelo is usually picked before or after the beginning of winter, which is around November. It will continue to grow and expand in September, and almost stop growing in October. However, it is not suitable for picking immediately and must wait until early or mid-November to be harvested. When picked at the right time, the fruit's shape and skin color are very bright. However, the time of maturity and picking varies in different regions, but the approximate time is about the same.

After picking, it can be stored in a natural environment, probably until April or May of the following year. If you want to preserve it for a longer time, it is recommended to seal it with a film and then place it in a cool room.

2. Precautions

It should be avoided from sunlight during storage. As mentioned above, it should be placed in a cool room, otherwise it will change color after a period of time and the moisture in the fruit will continue to be lost. In addition, do not let it come into contact with moisture, as it will easily rot and is not conducive to preservation. After a short period of storage, it will taste better.
