There is no fixed time for how long succulents need to be watered after they are first planted. The interval should be determined according to different situations. In the first case, if the root system of the succulent is not damaged and it has just been simply repotted, you can water it every three days, otherwise it will easily rot if the soil is too moist.

In the second case, after pruning the roots of the succulents, replant them. If they are planted in dry soil, you can water them immediately to keep the soil slightly moist. But if the soil is moist when planting, you need to wait 5-7 days before watering again.

2. Precautions for watering for the first time after potting

If watering is necessary, be careful not to splash water onto the leaves of the succulent, and keep it away from its roots. If it is too close, it will easily rot. Don't water it too much, because the root system of the plant has not recovered yet when it is just planted, and it will be difficult for it to absorb too much water. Wait until it has adapted to the pot and then water it thoroughly.
