Spider silk coil cultivation methods and precautions

Spider silk coil cultivation methods and precautions

1. Soil ventilation

The soil used for spider silk must have high air permeability and cannot be used for cultivation in sticky and thick soil. Potted plants are mostly grown in a mixture of peat and coal slag. If you want to increase the air permeability of the soil, you can put some river sand on the surface. Note that the cultivation soil must be disinfected and sterilized before use.

2. Suitable temperature

The temperature of the breeding environment should be around 15-25℃. When the temperature is higher than 35℃, cooling work should be done and watering should be stopped. If the temperature in severe winter is below 5℃, the growth of the plants will stop temporarily. The temperature for safe wintering should not be lower than -5℃, and the temperature should be maintained above 0℃.

3. Water thoroughly when dry

When adding water, it is best to wait until the growing soil is dry before watering, and water should be poured thoroughly all at once. When watering, do not pour water on the spider silk as it will easily fall off. It is best to pour water into the soil. When the plant is growing slowly, it needs less watering.

IV. Precautions

The plants are easily attacked by diseases and insects, so more precautions should be taken during maintenance. Once root mealybugs, scale insects, and black rot are found, medication should be used immediately and the diseased leaves should be cut off. When the disease is serious, the rotten stems should also be cut off to avoid infection.
