How to grow Croton better

How to grow Croton better

1. Adequate lighting

It likes light very much, and the ornamental value of its leaves is also based on the provision of light. Only if sufficient light is guaranteed during the growing period can it grow normally. If the light requirement is not met, the color of the leaves will become dull or even spotted, greatly reducing their ornamental value.

2. Watering needs to be appropriate

It is more suitable for survival in a humid environment, is afraid of dry environment, and needs sufficient water to grow. Especially during the growth period, the growth rate will be significantly accelerated. In order to replenish the growth, in addition to applying water to the roots, you can also spray water on the leaves. In winter, because the climate is very cold, the evaporation rate slows down, so it is appropriate to apply less.

3. Application of fertilizer

There is a certain demand for fertilizer for growth, and fertilizer should be applied every 1-2 weeks. However, the dosage must be controlled, not excessive, and not to burden the plant's root system.

4. Temperature control

Because it cannot withstand cold climates, it has higher temperature requirements. Generally, the most suitable temperature is around 20-30 degrees. If the temperature is below 13 degrees in winter, it will affect the growth. If the temperature is below 10 degrees for a long time, the color of the leaves will become dull. If the temperature drops any lower, it will cause death from freezing.
