Many people who grow flowers treat their plants as their own children. They love their plants so much, and the flowers feel happy to see them. Speaking of plants, Huahua recently visited a friend's house and saw that the hydrangeas in his house had just withered. The friend secretly told Huahua that he had bought hydrangea seeds and was planning to plant them in a few days. After hearing this, Huahua quickly said that he was a big fool and was cheated! My friend was immediately confused and asked what was going on. It turns out that it is very difficult for hydrangea to produce seeds. We can even say that it basically does not produce seeds. Normally we grow hydrangeas and want them to grow better and bloom more vigorously, but we have never heard of sowing hydrangeas. Usually we use cuttings to propagate hydrangeas, which is basically zero cost. So friends who buy hydrangea seeds outside should be careful, there is a high possibility that they have been cheated and bought fake seeds! After Huahua pointed out this easy-to-fall-afraid scam, she also took the opportunity to tell you about the cultivation and cutting methods of hydrangeas. The cutting method is relatively simple. We can choose relatively thick and healthy hydrangea branches, preferably annual ones. The survival rate of this kind of branches is very high. Cut the paper strip diagonally at the end, dip some rooting powder or rooting water on the end, and then insert it into the soil. Do not expose the newly grafted branches to the sun first. Try to keep them in a cool place for a few days. After they take root and sprout, it is better to move the plants to a place with scattered light. In normal cultivation, choose loose soil and avoid sticky soil, which can easily suffocate the plants. It is best to add some nutrient fertilizer to the soil as base fertilizer before cutting or potting, so that the hydrangea will grow better. Hydrangeas like sunlight, so we can usually let them get more sunlight, but we should not let hydrangeas be exposed to the sun during the hot summer. Except for the other three seasons, hydrangeas can receive full-day sunlight. Before hydrangeas bloom, you can apply some nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to them. Compound fertilizers can make the plants grow faster and promote the growth of flower buds, which really provides great help for the hydrangeas to bloom. After doing daily maintenance, you don’t have to worry about the hydrangea not growing well. Pay more attention and observe more, and the hydrangea will surely bloom in full branches! |
