How to deal with the dry tips of Chlorophytum

How to deal with the dry tips of Chlorophytum

1. Watering in time

Cause: Lack of water can cause the tips of spider plant leaves to dry out, usually due to infrequent watering or inadequate watering at a single time.

Solution: Pay attention to the dryness and wetness of the soil of the spider plant. Water it when the soil is slightly dry. Water it enough each time. Based on your own experience, make sure the amount of water does not cause water accumulation.

2. Proper shade

Reason: Strong light can cause the leaves to burn and may lead to dry tips.

Solution: Move the spider plant into the house in time to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. It can be placed in a place with scattered light at ordinary times, but not in a cool place. Lack of light is not good for its growth.

3. Repotting and loosening the soil

Reason: Due to fertilizer and water, the soil tends to become compacted, resulting in poor root breathing and affecting the dry tips of the leaves.

Solution: Repot the plant every year and loosen the soil regularly, avoiding damaging the roots of the plant when loosening the soil.

4. Reasonable fertilization

Reason: Lack of fertilizer leads to insufficient nutrients, or too concentrated fertilizer burns the roots, which can cause the leaves of the plant to dry out.

Solution: If the spider plant lacks fertilizer, you can add some dilute liquid fertilizer, but the nitrogen content should be low, otherwise the leaf patterns will become less obvious. If there is too much fertilizer, you need to remove the plant from the pot, clean the soil and trim the burned roots.
