Geranium cultivation methods and precautions

1. Flower soil

When growing geraniums, you should try to use soil with a higher nutrient content and that is not prone to compaction. You should also turn the soil over from time to time to increase the air content. If you don't know how to mix it, you can prepare three parts of garden soil, four parts of leaf mold, two parts of perlite and one part of base fertilizer, mix them together and use it as flower soil.

2. Watering

Be sure to water it in moderation and not too much, because too much water will affect its normal growth. When watering, just wet the soil and do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. In addition, when it rains, you can let it get wet appropriately, but after the rain stops, you must drain the rainwater accumulated in the pot in time.

3. Fertilization

The time to fertilize it is mainly spring and autumn. During these two times, you can apply diluted fertilizer solution to it every 7-10 days. In winter, because it does not grow much, the number of fertilizations should be reduced accordingly. During the high temperatures of summer, it will temporarily grow, so hold off on fertilizing them as well.

IV. Precautions

If you are raising a taller variety but don't want it to grow too tall, you can spray it with some dwarfing agent when it grows to between 12-15cm. That way it won't grow too tall.
