How to grow azaleas and what to do with fallen leaves

How to grow azaleas and what to do with fallen leaves

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: When planting, use soil with high air permeability and good drainage ability, and the fertility of the cultivation soil should be sufficient. It is best to use acidic soil, which is helpful for its growth.

2. Temperature: Create a growing environment of 12-25℃ for it, and maintain the temperature between 18-25℃ during April-September. In addition, the air circulation in the maintenance environment should be good.

3. Water: It likes a slightly humid growing environment. It needs to be watered more frequently during its growing period, and it should also be sprayed with water appropriately to keep it moist. Usually water it once every 2-3 days, twice a day in summer, and no watering during the rainy days.

2. Leaf fall treatment method

When the azalea sheds its leaves, you should consider whether there is something wrong with its maintenance.

1. If the cultivation soil used is alkaline, its roots will wilt and the leaves will fall off. The most direct way to deal with this situation is to change the soil and replace it with fertile acidic soil.

2. When the plants are attacked by diseases and pests, such as scale insects and brown spot disease, they will also lose leaves. We need to purchase medicines for prevention and control in time according to the types of diseases and pests.

3. If you water too much during maintenance, its roots will be soaked in stagnant water and will rot, causing the leaves to fall off. The soil should be loosened appropriately and ventilation should be enhanced.
