Why can't you grow jasmine at home?

Why can't you grow jasmine at home?

1. Maintenance

This plant can be grown indoors, but indoors is not very suitable for jasmine growth. This plant was originally a hot woody plant. Its growth requires high temperature and humidity, sufficient water and fertilizer, and good ventilation. Otherwise, it will not bloom vigorously, affecting its viewing experience. Usually, when growing jasmine at home, the first problem is that ventilation conditions cannot be guaranteed. When large amounts of water and fertilizer are used, drainage and evaporation will be inhibited. Therefore, many people who grow jasmine indoors will experience root rot, yellow leaves, and fallen leaves, and eventually the jasmine will wither and die. If you must grow it at home, there is a suitable location to place the jasmine so that it can receive sunlight throughout the day and has good ventilation conditions, then there will be no problem in maintaining it indoors.

In the north, jasmine must be kept warm indoors in winter, otherwise it will freeze to death outdoors. In winter, you should reduce watering and stop fertilizing to allow jasmine to survive the low temperature season smoothly.

2. Health

The fragrance of jasmine is not toxic, but it is very strong when it blooms. If the home is not well ventilated or the maintenance area is not large enough, the fragrance will be particularly strong. People will feel uncomfortable if they stay in such an environment for a long time, so you should think carefully if you want to keep this plant at home.
