What is a pumpkin?

2. Leaves

The leaves of pumpkin are oval or broadly oval, about 12-25 cm long and 20-30 cm wide, with dense yellow-white hairs and usually white spots on them. The back is lighter in color and has dense and fine teeth on the edges.

3. Flowers

Pumpkin flowers are monoecious and solitary. The calyx tube of the male flower is bell-shaped, with linear lobes about 1 to 1.5 cm long, and the upper part is exaggerated to be leaf-shaped. The corolla is yellow in color, about 8 cm long, with 5 fissures and curled edges. The female flowers have shorter styles and three stigmas.
