The cultivation methods and precautions of mugwort

The cultivation methods and precautions of mugwort

1. Soil

The soil for growing mugwort needs to have both drainage and ventilation. Flower lovers can use a mixture of garden soil and leaf mold when preparing it. Before putting it into the pot, it is best to evenly sprinkle some sand at the bottom of the pot to achieve the effect of drainage and ventilation. It is best to apply some base fertilizer so that it can better adapt to the new growing environment and meet its growth needs.

2. Watering

It has very strong drought resistance, so the frequency and amount of watering do not need to be too large during normal maintenance, as long as the soil in the pot is kept moist. You can also water according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when it is wet. Insert a clean wooden stick deep into the soil. If there is no sign of moisture, water it thoroughly.

3. Lighting

Adequate light can ensure its healthier growth, and it can receive light throughout the day. If the leaves of the plant are dull in color and the plant grows slowly, it is most likely caused by insufficient light. When the sunlight is too strong in summer, it needs to be shaded or moved to a cool place for maintenance.

IV. Precautions

When watering, be careful not to use tap water directly. It is best to leave it to dry for two days or use rainwater. Usually, we should not only pay attention to the control of water and fertilizer, but also pay attention to whether the air circulation in its growth environment is good. Especially when it is grown indoors in winter, it should be properly exposed to fresh air to reduce the invasion of pests and diseases.
