1. Difference of blades

The leaves of the weeping crabapple are ovate or elliptical to oblong elliptical, 3.5-8 cm long, about 2.5-4.5 cm wide, with fine serrations or nearly entire margins, dark green on the upper side, shiny with purple halos, with short soft hairs on the midrib, and the rest of the body is glabrous, with short petioles.

The leaves of cherry blossoms are elliptical-ovate or obovate, wider than the former, about 5-12 cm long, 2.5-7 cm wide, with sharp and double serrations on the edges, dark green and hairless on the upper side, light green on the lower side, with sparse soft hairs along the veins, and the petioles are longer than the former, about 1.3-1.5 cm.

2. Petal Difference

The petals of the weeping crabapple are obovate, pink in color, and usually have more than 5 petals. The flowering period is from March to April.

The petals of cherry blossoms are oval in shape, white or pink in color, and the flowering period is April.
