Lady Rose is a horticultural hybrid succulent variety that is relatively hardy and easy to grow. And it looks very fairy-like when in good condition, especially in an environment with large temperature differences and plenty of sunlight. The leaves of Lady Rose will appear pink to brown-red with light yellow-green, and it is very beautiful. So how to grow Lady Rose succulent? Let’s take a look below. 1. Sufficient light The succulent Lady Rose is a plant of the Crassulaceae family. It prefers light and is not shade-tolerant. Generally, it likes to grow in sufficient sunlight. Once there is insufficient light, the plant will grow too tall and turn green in color, especially in autumn and winter, and it is difficult to grow it in good condition. Like most succulents, it grows faster in spring and autumn. We try to give Mrs. Rose full-day light so that the plant can thrive in sufficient sunlight, and provide a shaded and ventilated environment during the high temperatures in summer. 2. Pot soil matching You don’t need a very big pot to grow succulents, because they are small and cute. Especially if you want them to grow well, it is better to grow them in a small pot. The same applies to soil preparation. When the seedlings are growing roots and growing strong plants, use a 1:1 soil preparation. After one year of growth, increase the granular soil for controlled maintenance, with 60% granular stone and 40% nutrient soil. 3. Fertilization management The succulent rose lady is drought-tolerant and afraid of moisture, it can tolerate poverty and afraid of heavy fertilizers. It likes to grow in a relatively drier environment. Too much water can easily cause excessive growth or root rot. Generally, water the potting soil thoroughly when it is dry, and do not water it if it is not dry. Fertilizing Lady Rose is only done during the spring and autumn growing seasons. You can use slow-release granular fertilizer, and one application of fertilizer can basically last for three months. 4. Water appropriately During the growing season, water once thoroughly when the soil in the pot is dry. In summer and winter, use less water. If the soil in the pot is very dry during the high temperature period, give some water in the evening to keep the roots from drying out. In winter, water sparingly when the temperature is below 5 degrees, and stop watering when the temperature is below 0 degrees. Keep the soil in the pot a little drier to help Lady Rose survive the winter safely. It is not easy to water too much in hot summer and cold winter. Too much water at high temperature will cause blackening and rot; too little water at low temperature will cause frostbite and melt. 5. Suitable temperature The succulent Rose Lady needs a dry environment with large temperature differences and sufficient light to grow well. When the temperature is suitable, we try to grow the Lady Rose outdoors so that it can receive sufficient sunlight, so that its rosette leaves will be compact and colorful. 6. Environmental ventilation The succulent rose lady does not like a humid and unventilated environment, otherwise it will suffer from soot disease and scale insects. It is best to maintain a dry and well-ventilated environment. Be sure to ventilate the plant after each watering. The water will dry up quickly with the wind, and the roots of Lady Rose will not rot. It will grow well and be in beautiful condition. It will become very fairy-like when it turns color in cold weather. That’s it |
