The difference between blue star flower and blue snow flower

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of blue star flower are alternate, oblong, with entire edges without serrations, and dense white hairs on the back of the leaves. The leaves of blue snowflakes are broadly ovate or obovate, with hairs only on the edges and no hairs elsewhere, and usually contain tiny calcium particles.

2. The difference between flowers

Blue star flowers are axillary, gamopetalous, with a blue corolla, 5 lobes, and a white star-shaped center. If properly cared for, it can bloom in all seasons. The blue snow flower grows on short petioles at the branch tips and upper 1-3 leaf axils. The corolla tube is purple-red and the lobes are blue. The flowering period is from July to September.

3. Plant height difference

The blue star flower plant is about 30-60 cm tall, with a semi-climbing stem and dense white hairs. The blue snow flower is shorter than the former, usually 20-30 cm, and has thinner stems.
