Generally, the seeds take about 10 years to bear fruit, and have very strict requirements for the environment, so they are very precious.

2. Domestic planting areas

In fact, mangosteen is not produced in abundance in our country, but it is also cultivated. It is also cultivated and introduced in Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, Taiwan and Yunnan. It has very strict requirements on the environment and climate. For example, Taiwan of my country introduced it for trial planting in the early 20th century, but because the winter temperature was lower than that in Southeast Asia and it could not adapt to the local climate, it was not successful. There is no actual economic planting at present, only trial planting in a few areas.
