The color of the yellow iris flower is yellow. The outer perianth lobes are oval or obovate with black stripes, about 7 cm long and 4.5-5 cm wide. The inner perianth lobes are oblanceolate and smaller, about 2.7 cm. The flowering period is in May every year. The color of calamus flowers is yellow-green, the spadix is ​​narrowly conical and cylindrical, and the tepals are much smaller than the former, about 2.5 mm. The flowering period is from June to September.
