FlowersThe red iron tree has a panicle inflorescence, about 30-60 cm long, with large bracts at the base of the side branches. There are 3 bracts on each flower. The color of the flowers is light red or purple to yellow, about 1 cm long. The pedicels are usually very short, and a few can be up to 3-4 mm long. The style is thin and long, and the upper part will bend back or outward when in full bloom. The flowering period is from November to March of the following year. |
