How to soak Dendrobium in water and how to distinguish true from false

How to soak Dendrobium in water and how to distinguish true from false

1. Soaking method

Before using Dendrobium to soak in water, you must first prepare the Dendrobium and clean it if there are impurities on it. Prepare hot water, not boiling water, the water temperature should be around 85 degrees. Put the Dendrobium into water and soak it for about 5 minutes or 10 minutes. When the water temperature drops slightly, you can drink the Dendrobium. You can soak dendrobium in water repeatedly, that is, you can continue to add water to brew it after drinking the water, but generally three times is enough.

2. How to distinguish true from false

1. Color: The color of real Dendrobium will be slightly darker, appearing yellow-green, and will not reflect light. If the fake one has been waxed, it will reflect light. If you cut it open, the inside is emerald green and crystal clear. On the contrary, if you see more fibers in it, it proves to be fake.

2. Appearance: Usually, real Dendrobium will have a layer of fine hairs on the outside, and the shape and size are very uniform, and it looks quite plump. The fake ones are just the opposite, with no fine hairs either.

3. Smell: Put the Dendrobium under your nose and smell it. The real Dendrobium will have a grassy scent and no other strange smell. Some fake Dendrobiums may smell pungent or sour.
