How to cultivate the fortune tree

How to cultivate the fortune tree

1. Soil

The money tree prefers sandy soil with good drainage and high organic matter content. It is best to prepare such soil for it when breeding, which can enable it to grow better.

2. Temperature

Its optimum growth temperature is 20-30℃. It has poor adaptability to low temperatures, and when the temperature drops below 1°C, it will shed a large number of leaves. In winter, the temperature should be kept above 5℃.

3. Lighting

It has very strict requirements on lighting. It likes sunlight and cannot grow in dark conditions for a long time, otherwise its leaves will fall off in large numbers. But it cannot be exposed to strong light. It should be shaded when the light is strong from May to September, otherwise it will have yellow leaves and burnt edges and other undesirable phenomena.

4. Moisture

It is not drought-tolerant and cannot grow in overly wet soil, otherwise it may cause its leaves to fall, seriously affecting its appearance. Therefore, when watering it, you should control the amount of water and keep the soil slightly moist. Also, reduce watering in winter.
