Pepper growing conditions and characteristics

Pepper growing conditions

Chili peppers are generally more suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment. They have higher temperature requirements during the seedling period and need sufficient light during the growth period. Usually, the production areas of chili peppers are mainly concentrated in Henan, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou.

The most suitable growth temperature for peppers is around 15-34 degrees. During the germination period, the environmental temperature must reach around 25-30 degrees. Low temperature is not conducive to seed germination. Peppers have poor cold resistance and are more afraid of freezing.

Pepper Growth Period and Process

Peppers generally grow in tropical areas. They are usually planted in spring and autumn and begin to grow in spring. It is generally not allowed to sow too early or too late, otherwise it will affect normal growth.

During the entire growth cycle, peppers will go through several stages including germination, flowering, fruit setting and fruiting. Generally, the maintenance of peppers during the seedling stage has the greatest impact on the entire growth stage. Only when the seedlings receive more light during the stage can it be conducive to flowering and fruiting.
