How many times a year does hyacinth bloom?

1. Blooming once a year

Hyacinth can only bloom once a year. As mentioned above, this is because its bulbs have the habit of summer dormancy. They will begin to take root in autumn and winter, bloom in March, and the plant will wither in June. However, many flower lovers will throw it away after it fades, because after hyacinth blooms in the first year, the effect of re-flowering in the second year is very poor. But it does not have to be thrown away. Although its re-flowering effect is poor, it does not mean that it cannot bloom again. It depends on personal maintenance.

Second, the method of re-flowering

1. Dealing with flower failure

After the hyacinth blooms, it will actually wither. At this time, the hyacinth is not beautiful at all, but you cannot throw it away. You can take it out of the hydroponic bottle and then dry the water on it as long as you can't see the water droplets. It doesn’t matter if there are still some dead flowers and leaves on it.

2. Prepare the potting soil

First, prepare a pot that is larger than the previous flower pot, or a long pot will also do. Then put some soil in it, or put the hyacinth in the soil first, and bury it deeper. It is best to add a little sand to the potting soil you choose here.

3. Post-maintenance

After replanting it, you can move the pot to a place where it will not be exposed to rain and the sunlight should not be too strong. A windowsill is best. Then wait until the soil is a little dry, then you can water it appropriately. Around the end of the year, the hyacinths will sprout again and gradually bloom again.
