Orchid pictures and varieties

1. Chunlan

Also known as "grass orchid" and "mountain orchid", it is one of the varieties with the longest cultivation history in my country. It often appears in some ancient poems, calligraphy and paintings.

(1) Songmei: It is the first of the “four famous species” among spring orchids. When it blooms, its three petals are particularly round. Sometimes, it can even bloom twin flowers.

(2) Wan Zi: It is said to have been discovered in present-day Zhejiang during the Qing Dynasty. Its flowers are emerald green and have a transparent beauty. The flowers are dignified in shape, making people feel relaxed and happy.

2. Cymbidium

It is also called "Da Lan", "Shang Lan", etc. It is widely distributed and has a long history of cultivation.

(1) Dayipin: Its flowers are large lotus-shaped narcissus petals, which are very distinctive. It was also selected during the Qing Dynasty.

(2) Xianlu: It was selected in the early years of the Republic of China. Later it was called "Shanghai Plum".

3. Jianlan

It is also called "Four Seasons Orchid". It has many varieties, strong vitality and is easy to cultivate.

(1) Junhe: One of the representative varieties. Its petals are relatively large and oval.

(2) Green Light Plum: The petals are thick and the flower stems are emerald green with no other colors. It is also known as "Green Light Deng".

4. Black orchid

It is also called "Announcement of the Year Orchid" and is mainly distributed in the south. The colors are varied.

(1) Golden Mouth Black Orchid: The leaves are shaped like swords and are dark green. Each branch can produce seven to seventeen flowers.

(2) Black Mo Lan: The leaves are dark green. Has a floral scent. Each branch can produce eight to sixteen flowers.
