The soilless cultivation of miniature banyan trees requires nutrient solution. We can prepare the nutrient solution ourselves or buy it directly from the store. The formula for preparing the nutrient solution ourselves is to take 10 ml of the original solution and mix it with two kilograms of water for dilution. We usually choose vermiculite as the substrate for cultivating miniature banyan trees, because vermiculite has better performance in retaining fertility, good air permeability, and water retention, which is very suitable for soilless cultivation.

Specific methods for cultivating miniature banyan bonsai

First, use plastic window screen to block the drain of the flowerpot, then place the prepared vermiculite at the bottom of the pot, then arrange the roots of the cultivated banyan tree cuttings, arrange them according to the root shape you want, and then continue to fill with vermiculite. It is best to press the filled vermiculite, so that the vermiculite can be more closely combined with the roots of the banyan tree.

After we are satisfied with its placement, we can pour in the nutrient solution. Keep pouring until the nutrient solution leaks out from the outlet at the bottom of the flowerpot. After cleaning and tidying up the miniature banyan tree, place it in a cool and ventilated place. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. After placing it in a cool place for a week, you can gradually allow the miniature banyan tree to be exposed to sunlight. After that, you can carry out normal maintenance.
