Hyacinth cultivation methods and precautions

Hyacinth cultivation methods and precautions

1. Soil

To grow hyacinths, you need soil with strong water retention capacity, high nutrient content and good granular structure. Specifically, leaf mold, original map, coarse sand and bone meal can be evenly mixed in the ratio of 10:6:2:1 and used for its cultivation.

2. Lighting

Hyacinth does not need too strong light, 1-2 hours of scattered light a day will allow it to grow well. But be aware that you need to turn the flower pot every day to prevent it from growing in one direction all the time.

3. Water

Hyacinth prefers a relatively humid growing environment, so watering must be frequent, but the amount of water used at one time should not be too much. Keep the soil moist at all times. If it feels dry to the touch, water it.

4. Temperature

Different temperatures should be maintained when growing hyacinths at different times. Specifically, 2-6℃ is best when the bulb is growing roots, 5-10℃ is best during the budding stage, 10-12℃ is best during the leaf growth stage, 15-18℃ is best during the budding and flowering stage, and 25℃ is ideal during the flower bud differentiation stage.

5. Notes

1. Outdoor breeding. In general, hyacinth is more suitable for low temperature environments, so it is best to grow it outdoors and move it indoors when the temperature drops below 0℃.

2. Disperse the scent of flowers. Hyacinths are not only beautiful, but also emit a rich fragrance. If you can't get used to the scent of the flowers, keep the room ventilated so that it will dissipate as soon as possible.
