Watering method of white wax bonsai

Watering method of white wax bonsai

1. Frequency

The frequency of watering varies depending on the growing conditions, seasons, and weather, and cannot be generalized. The growth is more vigorous in spring, so you can water it every three days or so. During the period from late spring to summer, not only does the plant grow rapidly, but the temperature is also high, causing more water evaporation and greater water demand. It needs to be watered twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. From late autumn to winter, it has entered a dormant stage, grows slowly, and requires less water, so watering once a week is enough.

2. Water volume

If there is insufficient watering, the soil in the pot will remain in a dry stage, the roots will not be able to absorb water, and will not be able to supply growth. Wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering. Water thoroughly at one time and maintain an appropriate amount of water. When you can see a little water seeping out from the bottom of the pot, it means it is watered thoroughly.

3. Soaking in water

In addition to the most common method of watering the roots, you can also use the soaking method to replenish water. This method is more suitable for small flower pots. Place the flower pot in a larger container and add water to cover the holes in the bottom of the pot so that the water can penetrate into it.
