Green radish cultivation methods and precautions

Green radish cultivation methods and precautions

1. Lighting

The green ivy does not have high requirements for light. It only needs bright scattered light. It does not like direct sunlight, especially the strong light in midsummer, otherwise white and yellow spots, burnt edges, dry tips or sunburn will appear on the leaves. Of course, an overly dark environment can also cause symptoms such as excessive growth, increased internodes, and smaller leaves.

2. Temperature

Green radish is more suitable for the indoor temperature of the home and has a strong adaptability to temperature.

3. Soil

The green radish we usually buy from the market uses semi-fermented sawdust in the breeding nursery. If we grow it at home, we need to replace it with appropriate soil. We can choose slightly acidic loam or sandy loam rich in humus.

4. Fertilizer

The growth of green radish is relatively fast, so its demand for fertilizer is also relatively high. When the leaves of green radish turn yellow and the entire leaves become smaller and thinner, it means that there is a lack of fertilizer. There are no special requirements for fertilizers, and it can use any flower fertilizer commonly used at home. However, there is a basic principle, which is to "apply fertilizer in small amounts frequently". Don't apply too much each time, and apply more frequently. Except for the seasons of low temperature and extremely high temperature, when the growth environment is unfavorable and you should reduce fertilization, you can follow this principle at other time periods.
