Cultivation methods and precautions of seven-leaf lotus

Cultivation methods and precautions of seven-leaf lotus

1. Breeding methods

Soil selection

Seven-leaf lily is mainly distributed in valleys or shady and humid woods. It prefers an environment with high temperature and high humidity. It does not have high requirements for soil, but generally grows best in sandy soil with good drainage. To make the culture soil for potted seven-leaf lilies, you can mix peat soil, rotten leaf soil, perlite and a certain amount of base fertilizer together and use it. Of course, the simplest method is to directly use fine sand as potting soil.

sunshine

If you place the seven-leaf lily indoors, it must be exposed to sunlight for at least 4 hours a day. But you can't expose it to the sun directly. This is the only way to promote the growth and development of seven-leaf lily.

Watering

Regarding the issue of watering seven-leaf lily, it should be treated differently according to different seasons. Generally, the temperature is high in summer, so the seven-leaf lily needs relatively more water. Therefore, it should be watered at least once a day to ensure the moisture of the potting soil. In spring and autumn, the number of watering can be reduced accordingly. Watering once every three or four days is enough. If too much watering causes water accumulation at this time, the roots of the seven-leaf lily may rot. In winter, you need to water less frequently, just make sure the soil in the pot of the seven-leaf lily does not dry out.

Fertilization

The best time to fertilize the seven-leaf lotus is in summer, which is the time when it grows most vigorously. The fertilizer can be chosen with an equal amount of NPK elements and a suitable acid ratio. However, for the variegated-leaf vine, nitrogen fertilizer can be applied directly, and the amount required is not much. Too much will cause the spots to turn green.

2. Precautions

The growth temperature of the seven-leaf lily should be kept between 15 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees Celsius, otherwise their leaves are likely to be frozen and rotten. In the daily care of seven-leaf lily, be sure to place it in a well-ventilated environment and provide it with appropriate sunlight, but of course not direct exposure to the sun. When watering the seven-leaf lily in winter, you must be careful to reduce the frequency of watering and make sure the water temperature is consistent with the soil temperature to prevent the seven-leaf lily from being frozen.
