1. How to change pots and soil

1. Prepare potting soil: Before changing the pot and soil of the jade plant, you must first prepare suitable potting soil. The flowerpot should be larger than the previous one. After preparing the flower pot, wash it with clean water and then place it in the sun to dry. The soil must be well prepared to ensure that it is loose and breathable. Never use heavy and compacted soil. Mix organic fertilizer or leaf mold into the newly prepared soil. The soil must be exposed to the sun for disinfection before it is prepared.

2. Remove the soil from the pot: Remove the jade plant from the pot, gently tilt the pot, and rotate it along the surface of the pot to remove the entire plant. Be careful not to damage the roots when operating. Take it out and gently shake off the soil attached to the roots.

3. Pruning the plants: After a year of growth, there will be many old roots and rotten roots, as well as some overly long roots, which need to be properly pruned. Apply fungicide to the trimmed wounds.

4. Planting in pots: After preparation, you can plant in pots, prepare the soil, straighten the plant into the pot, cover it with soil and press it lightly. After planting in pots, water them thoroughly immediately and place them in a cool place to slow down the growth of the seedlings.

There is not much time limit for repotting jade plants, and it is best to choose around March or April every spring.
