These 4 flowers show the emperor's temperament

King protea

The king protea, also known as the Putia, is the national flower of South Africa. The flowers are huge, peculiar in shape, gorgeous and colorful, noble and elegant, and they bloom for a long time, so it is known as the "king of flowers".

The Protea is known as the most luxurious and gorgeous fresh cut flower in the world. It represents vigorous and tenacious vitality and symbolizes victory, perfection and auspiciousness. Placing it in your home will instantly add an imperial temperament, and it is extremely domineering!

Although the king protea cannot be grown as a potted plant in my country, we often see it in the fresh cut flower market. Now many people will go to the flower market to buy a few branches, put them in a vase at home, and they can keep for a long time. Moreover, you can dry it naturally and turn it into dried flowers, which you can enjoy for 1-2 months, or even half a year.

Golden Lotus

The ground lotus, also known as the thousand-petal lotus, ground lotus, and ground lotus, is a perennial herb of the genus Musaceae. It is native to Yunnan Province, my country and is also distributed in Sichuan Province. It is a specialty flower in my country. The ground-spring golden lotus is designated as one of the "five trees and six flowers" by Buddhist temples. It is also the embodiment of kindness and the symbol of punishing evil in Dai literary works. The flower language is: noble and elegant, everything goes well.

The ground-blooming nasturtium has a peculiar shape and a long flowering period of about 250 days. The flowers are golden in color and emit a sweet fragrance. The flowers are pink in winter and turn into a grass-green luster in summer. There are six bracts in a circle, shining with golden light, shaped like petals, gradually unfolding layer by layer from bottom to top. They can remain without withering for a long time, and are bright, beautiful and shiny, just like a blooming lotus.

However, the real flower bag of the ground lotus is hidden inside the bracts and only appears when the bracts open; it is fragrant, tender, petite, and yellow and green. When it blooms in early spring, it suddenly emerges from the ground and blooms quietly, surprising people, so it is called the ground lotus.

Many places are now selling potted ground nasturtiums, so friends in the southern regions may have the opportunity to buy them.

Strelitzia Reginae

Strelitzia reginae is also called bird of paradise and bird of bliss. It is evergreen, has large, beautiful leaves and peculiar flowers. It represents freedom, auspiciousness, happiness and joy. In my country, it also means longevity.

The broad leaves and exotic flowers of Strelitzia reginae are loved by many people. You can buy a pot and take it home to decorate your home. It has outstanding temperament and is truly an eye-catching item.

Strelitzia reginae is relatively easy to grow. It likes warmth and fears cold. The suitable temperature for its growth is 18-24℃, and the temperature should not be lower than 8℃ in winter. It can be cultivated in the open field in southern my country. Sufficient light should be provided in winter, spring and autumn, and shade should be provided in summer.

Torch Ginger

Torch ginger (Etlingera elatior), also known as porcelain rose, is a large perennial herb of the genus Etlingera in the Zingiberaceae family. It is native to tropical regions such as Africa, Mexico, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It has also been introduced and cultivated in Guangdong, Fujian, Taiwan, Yunnan and other places in China.

The petals of the torch ginger are thick and double, and appear porcelain or waxy; the color is beautiful and the shape is graceful; the flowers are like a fiery red lotus; if all the flowers are open, they are the size of a bowl, and placing them at home is both novel and spectacular.

Torch ginger can bloom and be picked one year after planting. The peak flowering period is from May to October, and the flowering period is relatively long, up to 1-2 months. At the same time, because its bracts are leathery and thick, they have strong water retention capacity and are not easy to lose water, so they have a long shelf life. Under normal circumstances, they can be kept fresh for half a month to a month without fading. It is an excellent cut flower variety and can be bought in flower markets in some areas.

Torch ginger prefers an environment with plenty of sunlight and can be planted in the open field in some provinces and cities in southern China. It is strong and requires little management, and generally loose loam is suitable for its growth.
