Leaf shape

On some new leaves, cloud-like light green patches can be seen distributed locally along one or both sides of the midrib. It is more ornamental than Ligustrum lucidum.

The golden leaves of Ligustrum lucidum grow in spring and summer, and most of the leaves fall off in autumn and winter. However, the leaves of Ligustrum lucidum grow in spring, autumn and winter, and do not fall off in winter. When high temperatures persist in the summer, some leaves will turn green.

Garden Application

In terms of garden applications, different tree species are used with Ligustrum lucidum and Ligustrum lucidum. Golden Ligustrum lucidum is often paired with plants such as red-flowered sempervivum, golden-leaf boxwood, red-leaf barberry, purple-leaf dwarf cherry, ground cypress, Euonymus fortunei, and juniper seedlings. Heat resistance

Compared with Ligustrum lucidum, Ligustrum lucidum has poorer heat resistance. Similarly, under high temperatures above 35℃, the growth of Ligustrum lucidum is almost unaffected. The leaves of Ligustrum lucidum will shrink. However, Ligustrum lucidum is more cold-resistant than Ligustrum lucidum.
