Cultivation methods and precautions of Cynanchum tuberosum

Cultivation methods and precautions of Cynanchum tuberosum

Farming methods

soil

It likes loose, breathable, light acidic soil, such as leaf mold and peat soil. You can also prepare your own culture soil with a slightly acidic pH value. Avoid using alkaline soil directly for cultivation.

Water and fertilizer

When watering, make sure the water is slightly acidic. During the summer dormant period, water less or even not at all; during the growing period, spray water on the leaves to increase moisture. Be careful not to overwater.

The fertilizer requirement of the tuberous-leaved jasmine is not high, and it is sufficient to apply an appropriate amount of full-element organic fertilizer once a month.

Precautions

illumination

The tube-leaved flower moon likes a warm, humid and sunny environment. It is not shade-tolerant. Although it can grow in semi-shade, the leaves will become slender and loose, the plant shape will not be full and upright, and the ornamental effect will be poor.

Therefore, except for the summer when you need to pay attention to proper shading, you can enjoy full sun in other seasons. This way, you can harvest the beautiful tube-leaf flower moon.

Reproduction

The tube-leaved jasmine is generally propagated by stem cuttings.

Cut a piece of sturdy fleshy stem for cuttings, insert it into coarse sand disinfected with boiling water or directly into plain soil. Make holes before inserting to avoid damaging the cuttings.

It will take about half a month for the roots to grow, and you can transplant it after a month. When transplanting, damage the roots as little as possible and carry more soil. Place it in a semi-shaded place to slow down the growth of the seedlings. Wait until the leaves are firm and new leaves have grown, and then you can manage it normally.
