Five-color plum blossom season

The flowering period of five-color plum is from May to October. If there is sufficient water and nutrients and proper pruning, the flowers will bloom continuously.

The whole plant of the five-color plum is covered with short hairs and has a strong smell. Leaves are opposite, ovate or cordate. In the warm southern provinces, it can bloom all year round. Although its flowers are small, less than 1 cm in diameter, they are composed of numerous small flowers densely clustered together to form a head inflorescence, which can reach 4 to 5 cm in diameter. Inflorescence is relatively dense. The corolla is tubular, with 4 stamens. There are many varieties of Lantana, with yellow, red, orange, purple and white being the most common colors. Leaves are alternate, broadly ovate to triangular-ovate. The middle leaves are ovate or spoon-shaped with irregular and blunt serrations. The head inflorescence is solitary at the top of the branches, with a flower diameter of 3-15 cm. The bracts are multi-layered and leaf-like. The ligulate flowers on the edge of the disk are rich in colors, and the tubular flowers in the center are yellow. The flowering period is from July to October, and the flowering period in temperate regions is from May to June for autumn sowing. Achenes are wedge-shaped, light brown, and the thousand-seed weight is 1.74 grams.

Bougainvillea Flowering Period

The flowering period of Bougainvillea is from July to October. The trees are trimmed properly, the flowers bloom continuously and they are very beautiful.

The flowers are terminal, very thin, small, yellow-green, often clustered in three larger bracts. The pedicels are fused to the midrib of the bracts, and there are no obvious petals. The small flowers are in the shape of small funnels, which is the perianth, a tissue that protects the stamens. There are seven or eight stamens and one pistil in the petals. Although a small number of them will produce seeds, the vast majority will not.

The flower buds are large and obvious, and the bracts are oval, which is the main ornamental part. The colors include bright red, orange-yellow, purple-red, milky white, etc. It can be divided into single-petal, double-petal and variegated varieties.
