The leaves of blue star flower and Japanese blue star flower are different

The leaves of Japanese blue star are different. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate-long heart-shaped, heart-shaped at the base, and densely hairy.

The flowers of the Japanese blue star flower appear smaller and more delicate, with five petals separated, long and narrow, and a light blue with a hint of white, like a rendered ink painting.

Other differences between Blue Star and Japanese Blue Star

The blue star flower blooms all year round, and with proper care, it can bloom in all seasons. However, the Japanese blue star flower does not bloom for that long, and its flowering period is from spring to summer.

Relatively speaking, the plant height of blue star flower is between 30 and 60 cm, and the plant height of Japanese blue star flower is between 30 and 80 cm. The Japanese blue star flower is relatively taller.
