The value of sea daffodils

The ornamental value of sea daffodils

The flowering period of sea daffodil is in late spring and early summer, which is the period when spring flowers begin to fade and summer flowers are not yet in full bloom. As a connector between the two seasons, the sea daffodil blooms at the right time, filling the gap of this period. It is an early spring flowering shrub that is widely used in gardens.

The flowering period of the sea daffodil is relatively long, up to more than two months. The colors are bright and numerous, and the flowers are graceful, attracting people to stop and admire. It is suitable for planting beside courtyard walls and on paths around lakes. In addition to embellishing rockery and slopes, it also has anti-pollution effects and can purify the air.

Medicinal value of sea daffodil

The "Chinese Materia Medica" published in 1999 has records about the use of sea daffodil as medicine. Sea daffodil has no toxic side effects so it can be used as a traditional Chinese medicine. It is harvested in spring and autumn, dried and soaked to make traditional Chinese medicine. It has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying. It can well relieve and inhibit inflammation caused by fire, such as lung heat cough, dysentery, trachoma, conjunctivitis, etc. Sea daffodil is cold in nature, so people with weak constitution should use it with caution. It is usually taken orally as a decoction, but can also be used externally to wash the inflamed area. Of course, you must follow the doctor’s advice when using sea daffodil for medicinal purposes!
