Green Yuanbao breeding methods and precautions

Green Yuanbao breeding methods and precautions

1. Breeding methods

Temperature and light

Temperature: It likes warmth, and the most suitable temperature for growth is 22~30℃. It is slightly cold-resistant and can tolerate short-term low temperatures of 0.1, but the wintering temperature should be kept above 5℃. When the temperature is low, the leaves turn yellow and fall off. Avoid air conditioning heating or cooling in winter and summer, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow or brown.

Light: Prefers partial shade, and should be shaded from May to September, or the plant should be placed in a place with sufficient diffuse light. Especially the seedlings cannot tolerate strong sunlight exposure. When the light is too strong, the "Green Yuanbao" will disappear prematurely. When the temperature is high and the sunlight is strong, the plants should be placed under a big tree or under a shade shed.

Water and fertilizer management

Watering: Watering should be done when the soil is dry or wet. Water when the surface of the pot is dry. Water thoroughly. The best water quality is rainwater or tap water that has been dried in the sun.

Fertilization: Fertilization can be done once a month, the concentration should not be too high, a thin layer of fertilizer can meet the needs. Change the soil once a year, and add decomposed organic fertilizer to the replaced soil as base fertilizer.

Reproduction method

For seed propagation, the main ornamental object of potted plants is the large cotyledons at the base of 1-2 year old seedlings, so seeding must be used. Seeds should be picked and sown as soon as they are ripe, otherwise they will easily lose their germination ability.

After the seeds germinate, peel off the black seed coat and let the cotyledons see the sunlight and turn green. Cotyledons are not only the main objects of appreciation, but also can carry out photosynthesis to produce nutrients for the growth of young plants.

2. Precautions

Yuanbao Cleaning

You can spray water once in the morning every day to increase the air temperature and clean the dust on the leaves, so that the Yuanbao remains green and shiny, and at the same time it can also greatly reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.

Don't worry if the ingot withers

The longest annual ring of Yuanbao is only one year. After one year, the Yuanbao will wither and fall off, so there is no need to worry about the plant dying. After the ingots fall, the plant is still alive, retaining its green leaves, which is also a different landscape.

Pest control

Pay attention to ventilation when growing Green Yuanbao to effectively prevent the breeding of diseases and pests. Avoid using air conditioning in summer and heating in winter, otherwise it will accelerate the appearance of symptoms such as yellowing of leaves.
