Cultivation methods and precautions of Echeveria luxuriata

How to cultivate Echeveria luxuriata

Temperature and light

Echeveria lucidum likes sunlight and can accept full sun. The growth of Echeveria lucidum requires sufficient sunlight. If there is too little sunlight, the leaf color will become lighter, the plant will grow too tall, and the leaves will become loose.

Echeveria Lu is not cold-resistant but can tolerate partial shade, so it needs proper shading in the summer and sufficient light in the winter. However, because the temperature is low in winter, it can be kept in a sunny place indoors.

Watering

When watering Echeveria Lu, follow the principle of watering thoroughly when the soil is dry.

In summer, when the temperature is above 35 degrees, you should slowly cut off the watering process. Because Echeveria luxuriantii can grow normally in summer, and its dormancy is not too obvious, you can give it less water or no water. Don't let it get wet in the rain during rainy days, as this may cause water to accumulate in the pot soil. As the temperature drops in autumn, you can slowly resume watering. In winter, you can water the plant when the temperature is above 0 degrees, but slowly stop watering it when the temperature is below 0 degrees, otherwise the plant will be frostbitten.

soil

The requirements of Echeveria lucidum on soil are not very high. You can use peat soil mixed with coal slag. The soil should be breathable and have good drainage. You can lay clean river sand on the surface of the soil.

Things to note when growing Echeveria luxuriata

Reproduction

The propagation of Echeveria luxuriantii can generally be done by leaf cuttings and beheading, or by sowing.

Repotting

Depending on the growth condition of Echeveria lucidum, the pot can be changed every few years.

Watering

When watering, be careful not to pour water on the center of the leaves, as this may easily cause the Echeveria to rot.
