Soil selection requirements

The suitable soil for cultivating Alpinia galanga is loose soil with good moisture retention and good ventilation. It can be mixed with equal amounts of loam, peat soil, and leaf mold, and some river sand and charcoal powder can be added.

Temperature requirements

Alpinia serrulata prefers a high temperature environment, and the suitable temperature for its growth is 22-28℃.

Alpinia serrulata is not cold-resistant, and the winter temperature should not be lower than 5℃. Generally, it can only withstand temperatures around 8°C.

Lighting requirements

Alpinia serrulata likes sunshine by nature.

It is sensitive to light. When there is insufficient light, the leaves are yellow and dull. When the light is too dark on cloudy days, the leaf color will become darker.
