Key points for purple seal management and maintenance

Usually when people see the appearance of purple seal, they will think that it cannot bloom, but you are wrong. The reason your purple sedge doesn't bloom is simply because you don't prune it. Many flower lovers still wonder why the purple hibiscus in my house grows so tall. The answers are below.

Maintenance tips for purple seal

Pruning long branches

Purple Seal is a typical succulent plant. It grows thick and strong , giving it a fleshy texture. When the branches grow too long, you can trim the tops of the branches appropriately. Pay special attention. Generally, we choose to prune long branches when they sprout in spring, according to the principle of cutting the long branches short. This can promote the flowering and fruiting of the plants.

Suitable lighting

Purple Seal is a light-loving plant. The edges of its leaves will appear purple under the sun, which is very beautiful. Therefore, the plants should be given sufficient light, and appropriate shading should be provided from 12 to 2 o'clock in the summer to avoid direct sunlight. In winter, pay attention to the placement of the plant and place it in a ventilated and bright place. If it is too shady, the leaves will become thinner and affect its appearance.

Reasonable watering

Pay attention to watering during the growing period, especially in the germination stage of the plant, and try to keep the potting soil relatively moist. When there is plenty of sunlight at noon, sprinkle more water around the plants to increase the air humidity. But be careful not to spray water on the leaves when there is plenty of sunlight, as water will evaporate too quickly and cause the leaves to shrivel.

In winter, purple seal is in a dormant state and grows slowly. Water it as little as possible and avoid overwatering.

Proper fertilization

During the growing season (spring, summer and autumn), apply more fertilizers with higher phosphorus content to promote plant growth. Usually once every 10 days. In winter, fertilize once a month.
