What to do if Michelia does not bloom

What to do if Michelia does not bloom

1. Temperature

(1) Specific reasons: First of all, we need to understand that the flowering period of this plant is around March, which is early spring. Therefore, the temperature during this period is relatively not too high. So, if you leave it to its own devices, the temperature may be too low and the flowers may not bloom.

(2) Solution: If the natural temperature does not meet the requirements, we have to promote flowering of the plants by artificially raising the temperature. For example, move it to a warmer room or keep it closer to a heat source.

2. Nutrition

(1) Specific reason: During the entire flowering period, much more nutrients will be consumed than usual. Sometimes, what it accumulates and absorbs from the soil is not enough to meet the requirements, which can easily lead to it not blooming.

(2) Solution: If this is the reason, then we have to find a way to supplement nutrients. Generally speaking, in order to promote its flowering and improve the quality of flowering, we will choose to use some fertilizers containing more phosphorus before its flowering period.

3. Light

(1) Specific reasons: We all know that light is also necessary for plants to bloom. So, if it stays in a very dark place for a long time, it will easily lead to no flowering. Even if it is opened, the quantity will be very small.

(2) Solution: Observe the location of the plant to see if the light is too weak. If it is weak, then adjust its position in time. Generally speaking, light that is not too strong is fine. To avoid trouble, find a place with diffuse light.
