What variety of cherry is good? Introduction to cherry varieties

1. What kind of variety is good

There are many varieties of cherries. The better varieties include Early Ruby, Moli, Daihong, Red Lantern, Early Big Fruit and other cherry varieties, which are also common varieties on the market. Early Ruby is an early-maturing variety bred by hybridizing Francis and Early Malzie. It has juicy and tender flesh, a pure sweet and sour taste, a bright red color, fast growth rate, and matures early. Red Lantern is a large-fruited, early-ripening, semi-hard cherry variety. This variety generally starts to bear fruit relatively late, around 4 years old, and enters the early fruit-bearing stage around 6 years after planting. However, the bud germination rate is high and the branching ability is strong.

2. Variety Introduction

1. Early-maturing cherry varieties: The more common ones are Red Lantern, Early Ruby, Mei Zao, Daihong Cherry, Daihong Cherry, Early Big Fruit, Qinying No. 1, Brooks, Zhifu Red, and Fuchen. These cherry varieties mature around mid-May, have hard, crisp flesh and taste delicious.

2. Medium-ripening cherry varieties: Common ones include Pioneer, Sami, Rainey, Yan Yang, Fuxing, Qihao, and Juhong. They mature around mid-June, and some may only be 4-6 days later than the early-ripening cherry varieties.

3. Late-ripening cherry varieties: Common varieties include Labins, Sweetheart, Friendship, and Strata. Their maturity period is around late June, which is a few days later than the mid-ripening cherry varieties. For example, the maturity period of Labins will be about 4-5 days later than that of Sunny Sunshine.
