Stone: Hydroponic Tips

When you go out and walk to the river or the seaside, you can pick up a few stones, 1-3 cm in diameter.

Soak in boiling water for sterilization and disinfection.

The flowers are transferred from soil to hydroponics, which can be used to fix the roots. The beautiful pebbles also make the hydroponic flowers look elegant and beautiful.

Willow branches: a great rooting tool

Pick up some willow branches, not too thick, cut them into small pieces, smash them with a hammer or other blunt object, put them in a container, add water and soak them for 24 hours.

Used for cuttings of flowers such as spider plants, green ivy, kalanchoe, roses, and azaleas.

Soak the cuttings in rooting water before cutting. Soak the bottom for 8-12 hours before cutting. The cuttings will be more likely to survive!

Willow branches contain natural salicylic acid, which promotes plant rooting and germination and enhances photosynthesis. Using soaked water to water flowers can promote the growth of luxuriant plants and green leaves.

Sand: A good tool for cuttings

You don't need to buy granular soils such as vermiculite and perlite. Just grab a handful of sand from the roadside or construction site, take some home, wash it clean, and expose it to the sun for sterilization, or soak it in water such as carbendazim for half an hour. Add some when preparing soil for growing flowers to prevent root rot. Some flower lovers who grow succulents use sand instead of granular soil, which is also a good choice.

Put the sand in a container with water holes at the bottom, insert the cuttings, water them thoroughly, place them on a tray filled with water, and wait for them to take root.

The roots will grow quickly, in about 20-40 days, and then the plant will be transplanted into a pot.

Since I started growing flowers, the things I pick up from the roadside are all great tools for growing flowers! It’s a great deal to grow flowers without spending any money!
