How to transplant rubber trees

How to transplant rubber trees

Situations requiring transplantation:

Let's first understand under what circumstances a transplant is needed.

1. Under normal breeding conditions, the pot needs to be changed every 2 years, which is more conducive to its growth.

2. As the plant grows slowly, the small flowerpot used when it was first planted has restricted its growth, so in this case it must be transplanted.

3. Transplantation is also required when pests and diseases are serious. Some insect pests will survive deep in the potting soil and will recover in the second year under suitable conditions; some diseases will prevent the soil from continuing to provide healthy nutrients, so transplanting is also required at this time.

Transplantation method

During the transplanting process, try to choose a ceramic pot with good air permeability. The soil can be a mixture of plain sand, leaf mold, garden soil, etc.

Be careful not to damage the roots when transplanting. If it is a normal transplant, you can bring some of the original flower soil, which will help recovery after transplantation.

If the plant is infected with pests and diseases, you must first rinse the soil clean before transplanting, trim off all rotten parts, and wait until the wounds are dry before transplanting it into a new pot.

Maintenance after transplantation:

After transplanting, water thoroughly, but be sure to prevent water accumulation. Keep the soil moist. If the environment is relatively dry, you should also spray water around the plants frequently. This will help the plants absorb water more easily and ensure adequate moisture.
