What flowers should I send to my patients?

1. What flowers to send

Generally, when visiting a patient, one wishes them a speedy recovery and a safe and smooth life. When choosing a bouquet of flowers, choose those with a longer flowering period. It is best to look at the language of the flowers, such as carnations, gerberas, violets, hyacinths, baby's breath, pink roses, champagne roses, etc. These varieties all have the meaning of blessing relatives and friends, and wishing them health and happiness. They are generally cheerful in color. You can also choose yellow gentian, also known as the flower of happiness.

2. Taboo

There are many taboos when sending a flower bouquet to a patient. If you make a mistake, it will cause a joke and make the patient unhappy, so remember the following points.

1. Don't send a bouquet of flowers that are too pale, too dark, or have bad meanings, such as chrysanthemums, strelitzia, etc. Chrysanthemums are mostly used in funerals, and strelitzia is also known as bird of paradise, which does not have a good name.

2. Do not send potted plants as a gift as these plants have roots, otherwise the patient may feel that they are harboring a disease and become unhappy.

3. There should be no fallen matter or contamination, or these substances can remove it. For example, the anthers of lily are highly contaminant, so we can remove them in the early stage of opening.

4. Do not send flowers with strong or pungent smells, because the space in the ward is relatively limited. If the smell is too strong and the ventilation is poor, it will have a bad influence on the patients.

5. The size of the flowers you send should not be too large, because flowers that are too large will increase the humidity and cause the reproduction of some small insects or bacteria.
